OpenHosting Datacentre Build - nearing completion

For the past few months, we've been constructing a state-of-the-art datacentre on Trafford Park in Manchester. The fit-out phase of the project is now its final stage and we're very much on-target for completion before the end of this month.

We've set up an informal blog in order for you to keep track of progress (if you're interested...)

* VESDA Fire Detection with FM200 suppression
* Overhead data cable containment
* Highly efficient cooling with cold-aisle containment
* Dedicated 11Kv substation on-site
* Full generator backup, with several days' on-site fuel storage
* 24-hour monitored and recorded internal and external CCTV security
* Multiple-10G resilient network ring linking the site to key datacentres in Manchester and London, and onwards to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Belgium over our European network
* Support in room/phase 1 for 145 47u racks, accomodating up to 6000 servers
* On-site build, storage, office, meeting and recreation facilities

The primary purpose of the site is to support our expanding shared and dedicated hosting infrastructure, but there will also be a quantity of 11u and 47u cabinets available for colocation customers. Contact us for information or to arrange a tour.

Christmas Support Hours

Christmas Opening Hours...

Over the Christmas period, the online ticket-based helpdesk will be monitored 24/7 as usual. Telephone support will limited to support for emergency 'service down' situations from mid-day on 24/12/07 until 9am on 2/01/08

24/7 on-site datacentre cover and monitoring of all our services will be maintained throughout the the Christmas period as usual
