How to upload your first website for your new account via FTP .
In the email you received after signing up :there are a number of details contained about your FTP account.
Its simple to upload a site for the first time - just connect to your domain:
- FTP Address: ftp.youdomain.com
- Username: yourdomain.com
- Password: same as HELM password (unless changed in HELM in the FTP Accounts section)
After you have successfully logged in you will be confronted with 3 main folders: DB, Logs, WWWRoot
You want to upload all your webfiles into the wwwrootfolder. This is where you can keep all you 'live' files that you wish to be visible to the web!
Your homepage needs to be called either index.html or default.html for it to open as the locating page for your domain, so that when someone goes to www.yourdomain.com it goes straight to your home page!
Simple... your first webpage should be online instantly for the world to see!
